COPPER JEWELRY CARE
Unless stated, all my jewelry is treated with a professional clear coating called Protect A Clear.
This product prevents the copper surface from tarnishing over time. Without this coating, copper eventually turns the color of an old penny and possibly blue or green patina's will be visible. Some people prefer this.
Care for Copper Jewelry WITH Professional Clear Coating (Protect A Clear)
Never use polish, solvents or a rough cloth to clean your treated jewelry. ONLY use warm water, soap and soft cloth.
Care for Raw Copper Jewelry WITHOUT Coating
When needed, use very fine steel wool to keep your jewelry shiny and clean. You can also use a small amount of catsup or copper polish along with fine steel wool. SEE ***ATTENTION below.
When not wearing, keeping jewelry in a sealed dark colored plastic baggie helps minimize tarnishing.
OR, if you love the all-natural look, Don't Do Anything and it will turn a beautiful deep cooper color and possibly blue and green tones will also appear over time.
*If you ever decide you would like your jewelry treated after all, please contact me.
*My jewelry is 100% guaranteed. If ever your jewelry needs to be re-treated, please contact me.
***ATTENTION:
Copper Pipe Cuffs should not be immersed in water. When cleaning it is best to use a fine steel wool or just a damp cloth and avoid any liquid seeping into the finished ends of the cuff.
